P1A are thoroughly enjoying their new topic Day and Night. Today we made Night pictures that showed a street in the dark. We had a great discussion of what we can see out our windows at night.
Thank You to everyone who came along to our nursery Burns supper yesterday. We had a fantastic turn out, and it was lovely to see everyone getting involved and joining in the Scottish celebrations.
We have have been very interested in finding out about Robert Burns, and have looked at some of his poems and songs. We were so inspired by all of his hard work that we all became authors and created our own book! Well done everyone!
P1A love their topic of Under the Sea! Through it we’ve learned about different Sea Creatures, Beaches and now Pirates!
After a fantastic discussion about the ocean plunderers, the children took part in a range of activities from dancing to Big Writing. This week the class finished off their treasure maps, an essential piece of kit for any decent sea dog!
We used tea bags to age the paper and then the pupils drew the route they wanted the Pirates to follow. Afterwards, the children presented their maps to their peers. Great work P1A! I’m looking forward to our Pirate Assembly this week!
Primary 5A have had a tremendous year at Craigour Park. Best of luck for the future kids. Here’s a look at some of your best memories!
