P1c joined with P1b and P1a to have fun finding eggs. Once we had found all the hidden eggs we rolled them down the hill. This was to remind us of the Easter story we have been learning about in RME.
Well done to Primary 7A who just managed to hold off some close competition from other classes including P7B to take the coveted Assembly Championship. Will they be able to defend their title after the holidays? Check back here to find out!
Today the class were learning about the celebrations and customs of Chinese New Year. We discussed the many symbols associated with this day such as Chinese dragons, lanterns and red money pockets and learned how the date of Chinese New Year depends on the moons. Afterwards we made night sky drawings with paint fingerprint lanterns and the results were very effective. We also made cards to celebrate the year of the Monkey.. Great job P2B!
P7 have been very busy this week. We made fantastic snowman Christmas cards using collage. We also listened to the nativity story, analysed picture books then wrote our own nativity story books which we shared with P 4. The younger pupils loved our story books and we enjoyed reading to them.
Thank you to all of our wonderful P1s who have spent the last week rehearsing and learning their songs and lines. They put on a great show for the parents and their teachers were very proud. A big thank you too, to our staff for their hard work and commitment in putting together our nativity. Well done everyone!
