Chinese New Year in P2B

Today the class were learning about the celebrations and customs of Chinese New Year. We discussed the many symbols associated with this day such as Chinese dragons, lanterns and red money pockets and learned how the date of Chinese New Year depends on the moons. Afterwards we made night sky drawings with paint fingerprint lanterns and the results were very effective. We also made cards to celebrate the year of the Monkey.. Great job P2B!

Christmas in P7A

P7 have been very  busy this week.  We made fantastic snowman Christmas cards using collage.  We also listened to the nativity story, analysed picture books then wrote our own nativity story books which we shared with P 4. The younger pupils loved our story books and we enjoyed reading to them.

Nativity 2015

Thank you to all of our wonderful P1s who have spent the last week rehearsing and learning their songs and lines. They put on a great show for the parents and their teachers were very proud. A big thank you too, to our staff for their hard work and commitment in putting together our nativity. Well done everyone!

Too nice to be inside!

P2 decided to have our lessons outside today and make the most of the sunny weather.

We had a very constructive discussion about how to be a good friend and we are all going to remember to share, be kind and helpful, say nice things and look after one another.
