For World Book Day the children in P2 discussed their favourite books and authors. Many children brought favourite books to school to share with their classmates. Pupils redesigned book covers for these books and shared ideas with each other. We all attended the Book Fair in school and were able to buy a book with our World Book Day tokens. There were a great many excited P2 children in the wing on Friday.
P2A can’t wait to start reading.
P2B are delighted with their books.
P2C are so excited .
This was also a good opportunity to begin to review our Word Boost stories. There will be more about Word Boost later in the term. Watch this space….
What a week for Primary 2! Christmas Jumper Day last Friday, our party on Monday and our Carol Assembly on Thursday!
This term has flown by, but P2 still had enough energy to rock the dance floor…..especially when a certain Frozen song came through the speakers! After a quick snack the children also had a very special visitor. Santa stopped off to give us some early Christmas presents because we had been so well behaved.
Thank you to all the adults who helped make our party so fantastic. Also to the Pupil Council for their awesome Christmas Jumper Day!
We look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
As it is Road Safety Week, P2B have been learning how to cross the road carefully and sensibly. Ziggy the alien visited our class and told us how to cross the road in space. We realised it isn’t very different to how we cross the road on Earth. Primary 2 then had a fantastic discussion giving instructions on how to cross the road safely. We drew pictures of ourselves crossing the road using all the instructions we had learned today. Well done P2B!
