We were revising in P2B today and remembering our number bonds for 10. The children did really well and then made these lovely butterflies to show all the possible answers. Well done everyone!
P2A found a new way to use our 100 squares today. We practised recognising numbers before and after by colouring them in on the number square to reveal a hidden picture. Can you guess what it is?
Great fun and great counting P2A.
To sharpen up our mental agility skills in p2b we start off maths lessons with a target number and we have to make this number in as many ways as possible. Here are some of the fantastic examples the class came up with. Great job!
Our Primary 1’s and their families enjoyed playing snakes and ladders, especially going up the ladders! Watch out for those snakes !!!!!! The children wrote their numbers and played counting games. Everyone got a free goody bag to help support their literacy and numeracy. The Parents enjoyed watching the teachers model the lessons they do in class.
Remember Next week is Reading. We look forwards to seeing you all there.
How many ways can you add 2 numbers together. P1C can tell you !
Today they were using a number of strategies to help with addition.
They used number lines, counters and fingers and are aiming to hold a number in their heads and count on.
Good effort by all.
Primary 4 have been learning about how we estimate or guess where numbers are on a number line. Today we all estimated centimetres on a piece of willow from the garden and then used our home made rulers to measure different objects in the classroom.
