Thank You to everyone who came along to our nursery Burns supper yesterday. We had a fantastic turn out, and it was lovely to see everyone getting involved and joining in the Scottish celebrations.
We have have been very interested in finding out about Robert Burns, and have looked at some of his poems and songs. We were so inspired by all of his hard work that we all became authors and created our own book! Well done everyone!
We loved our trip to Almond Valley in Livingston. We saw lots of different kinds of animals but liked the turkey and the donkeys the best. The turkey was really funny, he kept following us. We even saw a real cow being milked. We played in a magic house that had a chute. We had lots of fun exploring the willow tunnel and then jumping on the jelly belly after lunch. Even the sun came and joined us! We could have stayed there all day. A very special thankyou to our helpers, Mrs McIntosh, Miss Watson, Mrs Mutch and Noel. You made our day extra safe and extra fun. Mrs Davidson said we were a class to be proud of!
Today we travelled by coach to our new buddy school, Brunstane Primary. We loved our new classroom. It is huge. We have a fantastic outdoor space all to ourselves where we can do lots of interesting outdoor learning. We made new friends during playtime when we were invited to join in games or just to chat. The boys, girls and staff at Brunstane were really friendly. One boy had even offered to give his face painting money to someone in our school. We think we will enjoy our surprise adventure.
