Great Craigour Park Bake Off!

Mrs Lamb has been helping the children at Greengables to bake up a storm this week! So far we have made banana cake, cupcakes and pineapple upside down cake. These delicious treats have been made after reading the book Handa’s Surprise where the children learned about lots of exotic fruits and took part in a tasting session. The children were able to say which fruits they liked and which they did not, which were sweet and which tasted sour. Well done everyone!

In South-East Edinburgh born and raised…

We’re a creative bunch in Primary 5A and this week we thought we’d make a splash at Brunstane Primary School’s whole school assembly with a new hit that put Britain’s entry for the Eurovision to shame.

The Craigour Park rap was such a hit at a assembly that a special music video was commissioned for our return on the bus this afternoon.

The kids created the lyrics themselves based on our current predicament and rhymed them off perfectly to the tune of ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ during our assembly performance today. Well done Primary 5!

And here are the lyrics if you want to get in on the act:

Outdoor Nursery Fun!

We were lucky enough to have another exciting session with Kerri from Playbox in our nursery. We used all of the different recycled materials to create new games and work out different ways of solving problems. We had an amazing day and it was lovely to see so many parents stay and play too!!

Robbie and Lennon worked as builders, collecting mud to stick their materials together and ropes to pull the larger pieces onto the high surface.

We had to work together to solve design problems when we were building this model.
