School Cross Country

Our school cross country is this Wednesday at 2:30 round the back of our school. The P6s and P7s run a mile to represent their class. Every lap of the 5 lap course counts as one point for their class team. Parents and Carers are very welcome to come and cheer us on . .  or join in with the run and earn lap points for their child’s team.

All the P4 and P5 runners who come to running club every week have also been invited to come and run as guest runners.

Hope to see you there!

Jolly Hockey Sticks P5 & P6

This term in our outdoor lessons P5 & P6 have been doing lots of running and playing some hockey. Next week we’re going to swap the hockey sticks for golf clubs.

What do we actually do at Craigour?

What do we actually do at Craigour Park. You might find yourself asking this question, but probably not out loud . . . . . .

Anyway . . here is a video of something we did at Craigour Park Primary School. As part of our celebration of National Book Week  running club ran and read and asked the question “Are the pyjamas for Book Week, Black Friday or Radio6 music’s ‘wear-your-old-band-t-shirt-to-work-day’?”.

Is it on?

Santa’s Grotto Teeside Park

What makes Craigour Park unique? Many things. Certainly not having a Christmas themed running club in August and then setting ourselves the challenge of running to Santa’s Grotto in Sports Direct (other cut price sporting outlets are available) in Newcastle 120 miles away and then surpassing that and running to Santa’s Grotto in Sports Direct (other cut price sporting outlets are available) in Teeside park another 30 miles down the road. Lots of other schools do that, so i don’t know what makes us unique.

N.B. No Lonsdale tracksuits or Karrimor trainers were hurt in the making of this film.
