Activation letters for the City of Edinburgh’s new online communication and payment system, ParentPay, were handed out at parent consultations last night – if you were unable to attend, please watch your child’s schoolbag for it coming home or see the teacher.
Please note that ParentPay is accessed through a mygov.scot account – if you do not already have one, you must create one before trying to sign in to ParentPay. The instructions on how to do this are enclosed with your activation letter.
Regardless of whether you are eligible to pay for your child’s lunch or not, you must still order food for them online. If no food is ordered (and paid for where appropriate) it will not be ordered by the kitchen, and you will need to provide a packed lunch for your child. The current method of ordering and paying for food will be in place until the end of term to allow time for all parents to activate their ParentPay account. The new system will open approximately one week before the start of the new term.
