Primary 2 did a fantastic job on their trip to Lauriston Castle. Earlier this week we talked about the story of the Lauriston Castle Treasure and we were very excited about travelling to the historic grounds.
On arrival we had a quick snack then set to work on our Treasure Hunt. With the help of Mouse and his map, we travelled around the gardens, stopping at different points to remind ourselves of the story. We also took part in different games and some of us even created our own Andy Goldsworthy pieces of art.
Finally the map took us to the edge of the woods where we had a fantastic view of the Forth and over to Fife. Mouse told us that the Treasure had been all the creatures along our journey and how they helped each other to keep Lauriston Castle beautiful.
Early nights for pupils and teachers! Thank you so much to everyone who came with us and made our trip so special.
